When Everything Felt Like a Failure, This Was My Turning Point

I felt like I was living in a dark cave for the last few months.

I had been running my business for a year and felt I had accomplished nothing. I still didn't have clear services that were easy to sell, and I was still struggling to deliver the right results sometimes. I felt like I was working too hard and not making nearly enough to cover bills and provide for my family. I felt like a failure.

I walked away from Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media. I stopped reaching out to my friends and network. I ghosted great client leads. I left behind amazing opportunities. I walked away from work that I would normally love doing. I was a hot mess. Actually, I was a dumpster fire.

Until a few dear friends made me realize what I had accomplished versus what I hadn't. They were the light that I desperately needed in a cave of darkness. They helped me reflect on my successes and failures, which led to insights, and they helped me love myself again.

Thanks to these amazing humans, I saw the light and realized what had been right there the entire time—the gold, the goodness, the best part of any deliverables I provided to clients over the last year, and the service that delivered the greatest ROI and results for my clients.

With the utmost excitement, I've pivoted Built for Devs to focus on "delivering developer insights that drive product decision-making."

We tap my developer network (6k+) and find the developers that align with the client's target audience—most are eager to get involved. We ask them to naturally walk through the client's product, thinking aloud and sharing their raw and candid opinions along the way. We then deliver the raw feedback videos and a recommendations report to our clients. They're able to see exactly where developers get stuck, confused, or frustrated with their product. So they can quickly address the roadblocks that stop developers from becoming users.

Our platform will launch in the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you'd like to understand what developers think of your product or if you're a developer eager to share your bold opinions, head over to https://builtfor.dev

The developers love the ability to critique someone else's product, and the clients are amazed by the results they receive. I'm happy because everyone else is happy, and the services are straightforward and have a massive ROI behind them.

I can finally breathe again...
